I knew Guy Robinson in the late 50s when he was managing and writing for Johnny Kidd. I had no idea that Johnny was dead....all those years ago too!! I never met him, but I was offered the chance to go on one of their UK tours. Wonder if Guy is still alive...I'll have to do some research. I still have one of Johnny's records somewhere stored away....I'll have to hunt it out!!

We saw Frankie in the Students Revue at the Leeds Empire in either 1950 or 1951. He was an art student at Leeds College of Art, he brought the house down. We were not married thenwe married in 1952. (Donald was born 4.02.928) so he was the same age one day older than him). We are very sad that he died in 1999. I wonder why that concert at Leeds was never mentioned in any biography? We loved him he was the best ever? Regards Theresa & Donald Bolton

My current search is for a clean (CD) version of 'Salton City' by The Flanagan Brothers. It came out Oct '58 in UK on Coral Q72342 from US Brunswick 55078. Most recent success was finding a CD with 'More Than You Know' by Gene Mumford (ex-Larks, Billy Ward & Dominoes)in Vintage Records at 229 Queen St West, Toronto.(001-416-598-4039) It's called Doo-Wop Collectors Classics Vol #1 on Krypton Records. Same place yielded CD on CamPark Records #4001 containing version of 'The Secret' by The Gainors (featuring early Garnet Mimms)originally on Cameo-Parkway but on London-American HLU 8734 in UK. Incidentally the Toronto shop was started up by a guy from Goole. Current owner is Chris Edwards -a helpful bloke.

I have an 45 rpm 7" of Cliff Richard. It's on Columbia and was made in The Netherlands. The songs are "Nine times out of ten" and "Thinking of our love". There's just one thing about this record and that's that the label on both sides is the same. I guess something went wrong in the fabrication proces. On both sides you find the A-side label (Nine times out of ten). I was searching the internet but I can't find anything about this record. I wonder if I got a realy unique record or if there are more like this. Mayby someone can help me on this one? Thanks! Richard

I'm trying to get hold of a record called "Move In A Little Closer" which I though was by Tony Rivers & The Castaways, I now believe it is by Harmony Grass which was another Tony Rivers' group. Any ideas? Is it on any 60s compilation CDs? Also, can anybody identify a song that has the following line in it: "'Til then I'll cry, my eyes wont dry, because baby's gone". I cant find it anywhere on the internet under any heading but I am convinced it was from a Sixties song. It's starting to get to me! Has anybody ever heard a song with that line in it or have I dreamt it?

I am looking for a soundtrack album on Decca called "Just for you" (LK 4620). It was the follow up to "Just for fun", containing many 45's acts like The Applejacks, Louise Cordet and others. I would be glad if somebody could help me with finding that "Just for you" Decca-album. best regards Jan Myren, NORWAY

I happened on the site and came across some info about the first group I ever sang with, The Delicates. I loved seeing our picture and the author was right we did have "attitude" for such young girls. I recently had a reunion with my two original partners Denise Ferri and Arleen Lanzotti Gonnella. We met in our old home town Belleville N.J. and shared so many wonderful and sometimes quite funny memories. We are lifelong friends. After The Delicates, I went on to join The Angels and I sang lead on all their hits from My Boyfriend's Back on. Before I left the Delicates and joined the Angels, Linda Jansen was their successful lead singer and others sang lead too. We recently released our new CD titled Love, The Angels and we've included Beggin' a song that I co-wrote with Bob Gaudio of Four Season fame. Beggin' in in the Broadway hit "Jersey Boys" was recently a hit in the UK by a different male group which was thrilling and so we decided to put our own version on the CD. Please visit Denise, Arleen and me and the Delicates on www.Jerseygirlssing.com and Bibs, Jiggs and me on www.TheAngelsOnline.com for more on our current group.

The Amboy Dukes single "Let's Go Get Stoned" on Fontana is NOT number TF 971. That number belongs to "The Wreck Of The Antoinette" by Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick and Titch. Could you please correct this error as soon as possible? It's been bugging me for at least 20 years, and I've never seen a copy of the Amboy Dukes single. As soon as you find out the correct number of the Amboy Dukes one, could you please e-mail it to me? Much appreciated Andy B

Re: Sandie Shaw EPs 1. Numerical digits are missing from "Tomorrow", "Nothing Comes Easy" and "Run With Sandie Shaw". Their Pye NEP #s should be 24247, 24254 and 24264, respectively. 2. According to "Record Collector-Rare Record Price Guide 2004", there was one more EP--- "Sandie", Pye NEP 24234. Is this correct? If not, I can remove it from my want list because I have never seen it offered. Thanks for the Help, Randy

Julie sat next to me at school for a term. She was Julia Rolls then and good fun. I have followed her career with interest. She had a lovely voice, probably still has. Never could understand how she could be in my class and be 5 yrs younger than me !!!!

I first saw Chris in The Isle of Man in 1957, whilst on holiday. I have an autographed photograph of him and myself at the Villa Marina. Oh he was a handsome lad then and still is. DO YOU REMEMBER CHRIS.

Looked up Carol Deene. I backed her on organ/keyboards when she was doing the clubs in her later career (true pro) Still regularly pass where she used to live Hatfield nr Doncaster in 70's. Shortly after her last appearance at my club I think she emigrated to Oz first before settling in Spain.

You have the band Tea & Symphony listed as Tea & Sympathy. You may want to change that.
